The Grammys Down Under
Awwwww I hadn't seen this.
I love Australians so much I feel like someone should offer me honorary citizenship. It's only right! In case you missed the previous Grammys posts, here's a better video of Nicole Kidman's already famous lipsynching moment. It makes me wanna put Moulin Rouge! in the DVD player right this second. 10th anniversary this summer!
But here we go again: Baz, stop partying! Get back to work.

I love this picture! And Baz makes one hell of a silver fox! Any news on when Gatsby starts filming?
the picture of Baz at that digital techie/industry convention with QT (which I saw here) made me think "hmmm, his face looks a little - tight." This confirms it. I miss the softness that used to be there...but more to the point, get back to work Baz! Nicole is making you look like a major slacker, and she's got two little daughters, and has time to publicize RH, make a new HBO movie with Clive Owen, do a side-bit in an Adam Sandler comedy AND accompany her husband to his award/performance events!
Of course, Nicole has always been something of an overachiever anyway - but, still...
Baz makes me weak. Yum.
NR he maybe having trouble finding studio backing after Australia’s box office returns. At this point his next project won’t likely star a piece of box office poison like Kidman – think Beyonce!
3rtfu11,
According to Box Office Mojo
Dreamgirls Worldwide Grosses = $154,937,680
Australia Worldwide Grosses = $211,342,221
Isn’t $211,342,221 > $154,937,680?
U.S. is not THE World.
I'll airlift my birth certificate over... You can cross out my name!
As an Australian and a fan of your blog I would sponsor you for citizenship Nathaniel. But first you have to finish your in depth analysis of Moulin Rougue. From memory you stopped just after Elephant Love Melody. Unless I missed something...
And "Australia" is the second highest earning Australian movie in Australia second only to Crocodile Dundee. :)
Yeah...we Aussies are a pretty cool bunch...mostly...sometimes...
I'll never, ever stop loving Strictly Ballroom.
Joanne: No, you didn't miss anything. Nathaniel sadly never got beyond that point (as I keep reminding him from time to time...Nat, it's a wonder you haven't kicked out of your sandbox yet.)
Maybe that's the sign of a "true fan"? Because I am a fan of both Nathaniel's writing and Moulin Rouge; and his analysis had me seeing the film in new ways. So, all these years on I still await the rest of that essay....
...and, I still await the masterpiece of Baz's maturity. I may die before I see either one.
Get back to work, boys!
