Man, I am a huge fan of Doyle, but he seems in that interview at least to be going through a seizure. Disgusting. Thinking about his work then, I notice that only with certain directors, his work manages to be good.
What are people as talented as Aaron Eckhart and Shailene Woodley thinking when jumping on the bandwagon with Divergent? Surely after all the false LOTRs and Harry Potters, they realize that lightning doesn't strike twice... unless you're a comic book-turned-movie, that is.

Maybe I should save this for the "Smash" posts, but I was actually fairly impressed with the full "Bombshell" cast recording. But I have to agree that it makes very little sense as a show. If this were actually staged, Marilyn would have to live sing 15 of 22 songs. And almost all the non-Marilyn songs are in the back of the second act, although I guess they'd have to let her take a break at some point.
I agree with Rohit-Doyle seems like a jackass in that interview.
Isn't Kate Winslet also going to be in Divergent? The pressure to jump into a franchise must be enormous.

Its strange that Matthew Wexler doesn't mention what i think is the best song on the Bombshell album, "They Just Keep Moving the Line". I almost always skip directly to it. Its true that the songs are the best part about the show so its a shame that even they aren't getting a good rap anymore.
