Important Dates. Beautiful Shoes.

There's nothing duller than a post consisting of dates culled from press releases so, as you read, please to enjoy this brand new photo of Michelle Pfeiffer.

Her fingernails won't match anything once she takes the shoes off!

She's one of many celebrities involved in the fifth annual Celebrity Shoe Auction. Proceeds go to the Small Steps Project. Since this very very recent photo is proof that she lives, we must again beg her to take another job. Geez, lady. Your kids must've just left for college. Get back to work!)

Wow. Remember when Oscar nominations came out on or around Valentine's Day?

Oscar Nomination Day coincides with MLK's actual 85th birthday? Hm.

I love the Oscar nominations 'Morning!' Because I live in London the nominations happen at about 1.30 PM, and I always take the day off work so I can have lunch, watch it live and scream if I want to. Last year my neighbours heard screams when Sally Hawkins and June Squibb's names were read out.

Michelle has turned down "Still Alice".
I can't get over it....

Nomination morning is the best thing about award season. Sure Oscar's nomination morning is the most important but I look forward to the list of nominations from the precursors too.

Globes on Jan. 11? That's early, isn't it?

Tom should be wearing something shiny and black with chunky reptilian patterns instead of holding it because its footwear.

Sonja - Michelle turned down "Still Alice" when Brett Ratner was directing it. I would have too.

RobMiles: Me too (London, day off work)! On this year's nomination day I was so excited in the build-up, so full of adrenaline, that I had to go for a run to burn some of it off. Got back with about 10 mins. to spare. Watched the nominations in my running gear, then had a shower and lunch. Best day of the year! Got 15 January 2015 booked off work already!

Haha,I also take a "sick" day for Oscar nominations. I wouldn't be able to focus on work anyway.

I love the independent Spirit Awards because I'm a voter and I also love Oscar Morning

Squasher88: Mine isn't a sick day - I actually book holiday for it. My colleagues know how obsessed I am with the Oscars - they'd never believe it if I was "sick" on nomination day!
