Daily News Cate Blanchett & Amy Adams went to a tattoo parlor together with their men in tow after the Oscars! I would never have predicted that for a double date between them, would you? The bandages indicate that at least Cate and Amy's man got tattooed.

Mark Harris also had a nice long interview with Terry Gross, aired Monday on Fresh Air.

Daily News reviewed NY Phil's Sweeney Todd concert. Gave high marks to one of our favs, Emma Thompson, and lead, Bryn Terfel, with shout out to Christian Borle (yay! there is life after Smash), Audra McDonald, and others.

LOVE that pic of Cate in the Tattoo parlor. Looks like a movie set.

Just noticed pic of Cuaron in your banner; looks like he's mixing an Oscar cocktail. Wonder what it would consist of?

Blanchet fatigue here.

Peggy - Ordinarily, I might've said the same thing, but "The world is round, PEOPLE!" made for my favorite Oscar moment in years, and I'm very, very grateful.
So I'll gladly eat up any little Cate fluff piece or triviality from now till Todd Haynes

It takes a lot for the fatigue to set in for me. From a celebrity standpoint, this was a fun group of nominees (regardless of quality or whether they should have gotten nominated): June Squibb, J Law, Blanchett-the only one at risk of it a little bit for me is McConaughey, but even that I'll probably get over pretty quickly.

I have to agree with John. And even though I wasn't a fan of McConaughey's performance, he kept me laughing at his speeches, so....

no fatigue at all, more Cate please

Blanchett for Nobel Peace Prize!

About Christian Bale not standing up for Lupita, my intuition is that he was probably already tired of the standing ovations at the Oscars. He doesn't strike me as the standing ovation type in the first place. And being in the front row, you feel less of a social obligation to join others. So it's probably not a comment on Lupita, but then he also has an assholish quality, so who knows?

That Alfonso Cuarón picture reminds me a little bit of the classic Faye Dunaway photo of her looking exhausted with her Oscar by a pool. I loved that he wanted to dip his Oscar in the water to see if it would turn green! If you look closely at the inscriptions on his Oscars, they actually say Children of Men and Y tu mamá también. ;)

I'd also say that Bale is unimpressed with gratuious standing ovations and not Lupita. (And I couldn't agree more—it's ruined my enjoyment of curtain calls.)

Plus, he's sitting in the front row where a) you don't know if the whole room behind you is standing, and b) you don't have to stand to see the person on stage, because no one is blocking your view.

Then again, I'm a Balehead.

I think Cate got a tattoo that says, "#suckitgoop"

If you watched again the telecast and looked closely, you'll notice that Christian Bale was about to sit down after joining in the standing O. Even if he didn't like the performance, I don't think he is that dumb to be caught in a petty move, being in the front seat and all.
