Am I the only one who has noticed that Jane Fonda's dress is simply Angie's grey Oscar dress in red?

Zhang Huiwen, Gadon, Chastain, Lively and Cotillard deux win for me, but I love the less ornate.

Marion's second dress is a stunner, her first looks like she stitched bed sheets together. Jessica's is the best.

Evan -- Zhang Huiwen's dress reminds me of a wedding cake what with all those blocky tiers. But I love Zhang Ziyi's spidery exoskeleton top.

my fav is Sarah Gadon's i think but Jessica's is the perfect color for her.

Cate's dress from behind was gorgeous.

Cate hates playing safe, doesn't she? A true champion!

Nat I'm with you on Gadon's dress - totally gorgeous.

Also I'm so totally enraptured with Eva Green and her vamp schtick these days - that whole look is just making me smile. I hope she flew away at the end of the red carpet, cackling into the night.

This is why I love Cannes. The fashion. Jane Fonda... still smokin'!!!!! Eva Green, Marion Cotillard, Adele Exarchopoulos, Lea Seydoux. They show the Americans how it's done while Jessica Chastain, Cate Blanchett, Nicole Kidman, Naomi Watts, Zhang Ziyi, Julianne Moore, Salma Hayek, and Sarah Gadon definitely bring their A game. I love these ladies! It's a good thing you didn't post pics of idiots like Paris Hilton and the Kartrashians. They FUGLY!!! Oh, poo-poo, get them out of the fucking planet and their trashy, no-talent asses to fucking Mars or something man.

You should've put Nicole, Julianne, Blanchett and Chastain in the same picture! Actressexual orgasm!

What kind of freaky shit is Sarah Gadon into that her face can look SO different from place to place? Like is she Mystique? Is she that guy from Game Of Thrones who saved Arya? What is going ON?

I'd say Seydoux's and Chastain's dresses were the best. Though Swank and Watts also looked great, as at the very least did Kidman's dress.
A big No to Julianne Moore both times. I know that white dress is a very expensive creation but it just looks like a swan that flew into a ventilator. Sorry.

...but the funniest thing of these posts was the commentary-bitching. Now it's just pictures, gorgeous, but pictures.

iggy -- you have no idea how much work those posts were trying to find people to have those back and forths with and the comments weren't enough to suggest that it was worth the trouble!

I think my best dressed is Lea Seydoux. I just really love the color and fabric and the style looks great on her. I agree that the blue is lovely on Jessica Chastain although my favorite of her looks is the purple Givenchy she wore last year.
