Jones the male podcast commentators and some members here are freely bashing Mirren based on her awards popularity. Yet at the same time cream their pants for Streep's theatrics and the nothingness which is Kristen Stewart.

When you take drag THIS far out of context, it just feels like minstrelsy. I know that's a loaded word, but I mean it. Drag was not invented to reinforce heterosexual masculinity.

When JGL did "Rhythm Nation," it felt like he was an actual student of the culture. It wasn't a visual joke, which I believe Tatum's drag performance(s) obviously were. JGL was paying tribute to an under-valued (by the mainstream) piece of Herstory.
