I get why Star Wars has underrepresented the LGBTQ community. It's all comes to the fear of SW films underperforming in places like China if they included gay characters.
But I think it is possible for them to include gay characters without making a huge fuzz over it. Look at Willow from Buffy. She may be a lesbian but she isn't strictly defined by her sexuality.
It would be nice if "Star Wars ' had a major gay character but I guess that is what fan fiction. Zac Effron in a sailor suit was a good idea
