Film Bitch Awards Pt 2 - The Four Acting Categories

by Nathaniel R

Frances, Jamie, and Saoirse got the call. They're 3 of the 20 nominees.

The Oscar correlative Film Bitch Award nominations are now complete with the addition of all four acting categories. There's very little Oscar correlation this time with the exception of Best Actress. Hope you enjoy! Extra "fun" categories coming soon.

Part 1 - Film, Director, Picture
Part 2 - Acting Categories
Part 3 - Visuals
Part 4 - Music and Sound (and Nomination Totals)

...and in case you missed it, the top ten list write-up.

Hi Nat, yo acting list is so exciting!! But the last nominees were all cropped off?! The Best Supp Actress only shows 4 nominees.

Sad tt Krieps n Hammer din make yo cut, but its still a v satisfying list

Ah, as always one of the best line-ups of the year.

Your Best Actors was great,,
Your Best Actresses weren't ... except for Hawkins and Ronan

March 2, 2018 | Unregistered Commentergrrr

Two suprises so far: Annette Bening and Armie Hammer.

Thank you for all your work!

March 2, 2018 | Unregistered Commenterforever1267

Didn't know you'd do Annette dirty like that. Or Kristen Stewart in Personal Shopper! Or Julia Roberts in Wonder!

That said these picks are largely stellar. Gil Birmingham an inspired and worthy nominee.

Nice line up. Particularly best actor, just perfect.

Also glad to see Ice Cube Jr. and Rebecca Hall get acknowledged.

Great selections! I like some of your runners-up more than your finalists and I feel I need to see INGRID GOES WEST now!

You cannot be serious with Michelle Pfeiffer (deserving of a Razzie nomination). Even Wiig with less time gives a better performance.
And Tracey Letts (even the guy who plays his son is much more memorable) over Barry Keoghan? That one hurt.
Also, WTF did Claes Bang in "The Square" to deserve a spot? The monkey guy, even with al that stupid performance is so much superior.
Saoirse Ronan and Rebecca Hall (anyone in that category actually) over Daniela Vega? ._.

Wonderful line up , but the omission of Annette Bening is really striking. Think again Nat!

Wow what a totally unexpected list of nominees! I like your list generally than the ones that generally figure in most groups.

I think Rebecca Hall, Claes Bang, Daniela Vega, Jeremy Renner and Betty Gabriel are inspired choices. They would definitely be in my own top 5 in their categories. I'd add Vicky Krieps in Phantom Thread, Wes Studi in Hostiles, Adrian Titieni in Graduation and Eili Harboe in Thelma in my list as well.

The snub of Vicky Krieps is sad

Can't read the fifth nominees. Reading in an Android cell phone, using the Samsung browser.

That said, great nominees!

I am officially campaigning for Stone to win the Gold Medal!

That Hall nomination is a shock but I LOVE it. Such a wonderful, underrated movie and she's fantastic in it.

Have you seen A Quiet Passion? If so where is Nixon?

Love the Emma Stone mention,it's that haircut scene that does it,she got EVERYTHING correct about BJK.

On the opposite scale and this is the last time i'll say anything about it we have the crude, offensive, unfunniness of Tiffany Haddish and Girls Trip, not because she's a woman the behaviour is unrealistic in a film i'm supposed to connect to in some way,American humour is not really my thing,Never seen Friends,Will n Grace,Blackish or any imported USA sitcom for 30 years.

she was even awful and unfunny on Ellen, please "Bootyhole" is so basic and it's humour is lost coming from her mouth, flat line reading obnoxious delivery, the peeing scene is gross beyond words, one of my least favourite performances in the history of the category.

Sad P/Thread's Krieps got no love.

Yes to Pfieffer, has anyone noticed how girly she becomes when being scolded over her bedroom antics, and especially Winslet who got shafted by Me'sup and Timestoo.

I liked Jake in Stronger but the film was a bit boring and his big scene was overplayed and unrealistic,BA is so messed up this year,I didn't see anything in Kaluuya except he was solid but nothing more..

I liked Sally but it's her 5th best performance same goes for Frances who was gearing her own angry woman persona into Mildred, her quieter scenes were more effective.

I never knew you liked Hong Chau, the scene were she asks what kind of sex she had is poignant, funny and true.

No Bening i'm not surprised she was the weak link, she just didn't dig deep enough in to GG but we all love her.

It's ok to dislike GO in D/Hout,i'm from the UK nad never once beleived him or anything in DH,we have programmes on all the time about Winston and Gary couldn't even get the voice correct, sorry he's been better at least 10 itmes before this.

I love The Florida Project for Best Cinematography and for best everything.

Suprised by the omission of Hammer. Is it because you don't love him or you don't know where to place him? I'm not the biggest fan of the movie -that's fine, there are thousands everywhere- but for me he's the clear MVP. The way he uses the voice, his body reminded me of William Hurt in Broadcast News.

Do you have a newcomer category?

March 3, 2018 | Unregistered CommenterPeggy Sue

You cannot be serious with Michelle Pfeiffer (deserving of a Razzie nomination). Even Wiig with less time gives a better performance.

Lies. Wiig's post-Bridesmaid career is horrible. She could have been as much of a star as McCarthy instead she's attempting to be Nicole Kidman without any of the skill set.

March 3, 2018 | Unregistered Commenter/3rtful

Is the toni erdmann film dead with her and Jack coming out of retirement.

March 3, 2018 | Unregistered Commentermarkgordonuk

Bell but no Bening? Interesting.

I’ll go to the boards for Stone in Battle of the Sexes. Film-elevating. Same for Hall, although Bella Heathcote (Heather Graham, Jr.) did fine work in that movie as well.

March 3, 2018 | Unregistered CommenterMareko

Yes, yes, yes to Claes Bang. I have mixed (at best) feelings about The Square, but I though he did the best work of the year by any lead actor not name Chalamet.

March 3, 2018 | Unregistered CommenterScottC

You do you, Nat. Tracy Letts is wonderful in Lady Bird, and it's nonsense that yours is the only nod he received for it all year.

March 3, 2018 | Unregistered CommenterSuzanne

Great and fresh list of actors. I only miss a Kirsten Dunst mention for The Beguiled.
