Honestly I don't think I've ever seen this many Octogenarians slaying on Oscar night before.
Dan already gave a shout out to Rita Moreno but she embodied the vitality of these Oscar nominees and icons. I couldn't resist making a gif of her doing a little happy dance on the red carpet. This is right after she blurted out "I'm 86!" with great pride.
Living her best life and blessing us with it on Oscar night.

James Ivory wins the night for being charming, adorable and a true lover of cinema.
James Ivory looked amazing, but I have to give props to Lupita, Greta, Emily Blunt (in a very hard dress to wear), and the beautiful Eva Marie Saint as well.

LOTS of great dresses and suit, but I definitely think Greta Gerwig is best dressed. Is it the most fashion forward? No, but that color is DIVINE and she peaked at the Oscars which is the BEST. Honorable mention to Viola Davis which knocked it out of the park again.
For the guys, LaKeith Stanfield gets my vote. He and his suit are impeccably fit.
Couldn't take my eyes off Zendaya. Best hair and makeup of the evening by far.
Armie Hammer has the best style out of any male celebrity today. He's so handsome ugh.
Five things above that I love:
1. Viola does color so well so often.
2. Maya Rudolph looks so majestic. How does she manage to keep looking majestic even when she's holding a fake pinky toe and joking about on-screen incontinence? (I know the answer: She's a pro.)
3. Glam Kelly Marie Tran.
4. Ashley's vibrant purple and Nicole's shiny blue.
5. Tom Holland's unexpected jacket. Great cut and fit.
Ryan -- agreed. I'm not even a fan of the color yellow and I was just mouth agape when I saw Greta. She looks so CLASSIC. Old school Hollywood classic. That finger wave!
Viola's dress was MAGNIFICENT but she couldn't even walk in it! She was about to fall on the stage walking up to the microphone, and then she TRIPPED walking backstage after Rockwell's speech.
Nicole Kidman wins Best Dressed, yet it looked better on stage than it did on Red Carpet. Emma Stone is so EHHH.

Tom Holland is so adorable. Never in my life as a man that I want to do bad things to him. He's so cute, his ass is so nice. I'm glad he's Spider-Man.
I actually thought Taraji was mildly inappropriate for the Oscars haha - I don't know about it.

I loved Laurie Metcalfe.
When they showed Armie Hammer in black and white at the start of the telecast it really did look like a star from Hollywood's Golden Age. He and Gal Gadot should do an update of Mr. and Mrs. Smith.

Eysh. I thought Timothee looked pretty bad. That suit just eats him alive, does not fit him either. Hammer looked amazing though.
Greta was probably my favorite as well. But loved Betty Gabriel, Lakeith, Nicole and Taraji.
Saoirse was best dressed in my book.That pale pink with her skin tone and hair color, the giant (and detachable, therefore party-friendly) bow, the matte but chic fabric... she was like a modern but classic princess!
So many of these looks this year, I was like, "Yikes, that doesn't work at all" and then, on second glance, "Man, that's FANTASTIC!" One example (not shown here): Daniel Kaluuya's black and gold jacket. Elio Elio Elio looks lovely in that cream suit and white shirt, and Oliver Oliver Oliver is rocking that dark velvet.
Other faves: LaKeith Stanfield (Super-hot! GET IN!), Greta Gerwig, Kumail Nanjiani and Rita Moreno. But really, this was a well-dressed bunch all round.
Best dressed: Lupita!! Gurl has been slaying red carpet since 2013!!
Runner ups: Gerwig, Blunt, Gadot, Judd, Meryl, Janney, JLaw, Sandy..etc etc....so many gorgeously dressed ladies this yr!! ♥

Agreed about Stone, grrr. That pink and red clash, and the silk looking cheap... urgh.
My favourites were Emily Blunt, Gal Gadot and Lupita Nygon'o. Lupita's sash looked like an ammunition belt, very BLACK PANTHER!
Jennifer Garner's simplistic-but-grogeous electric blue was one of m favourite looks. Her hair and make-up were on fleek too.

Allison Williams also looked beautiful and regal.
Living for Viola Davis in hoop earrings. Wish hoop earrings would make more of an appearance - I remember wearing them religiously after I saw them on Jordana Brewster in THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS!
Zendaya, Davis, and Rodriguez are my favorite ladies' looks out of this batch. Save for Rippon, whose tux gets worse the more I look at it, I like all of the men's fashions, though Chalamet's black boots make me cringe.

My best dressed: Betty Gabriel, Lakeith Stanfield, Lin Manuel Miranda, Mira Sorvino, Laura Dern, Emily Blunt, Jane Fonda (always), and Rita Moreno (don't care if it's old - love the whole combo of the dress, headband and gloves).
Not a fan of the CMBYN tuxes- velvet tuxes are too loungey and white tuxes scream 'trying too hard.'
LaKeith Stanfield and I were in the same tux, and he gets a Best Dressed citation but I don't?
