And say whatever you gotta say. We'll have a ton of coverage over the next three days but during the actual show we just watch like the Stockholm Syndrome devotees that we are (though we'll post a winners list during commercial breaks.)

Why Green Book's win made me cringe - Not why you think!

Best Picture Nominee Oscar Tallies: Bohemian Rhapsody: 4 wins; Black Panther, Roma, Green Book: 3 wins each; A Star is Born, Vice, The Favourite, BlacKkKlansman: 1 win each. The last time each Best Picture nominee won an award was 2014 but it's not so common since something usually goes home empty-handed.

Thanks for doing this Nathaniel!

Alright everyone, let's get ready to be pissed off WOOOOOOOO

February 24, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterMDA

Can we ever forgive this year oscars?

February 24, 2019 | Unregistered Commenterjota

If Glenn wins, I will forgive anything

February 24, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterMatt

Glenn winning will make this whole season worth it.

February 24, 2019 | Unregistered Commenter/3rtful

Rachel wins the red carpet for me, as do Charlize and Michelle Yeoh.

I can’t stop thinking about Rachel’s look though. That’s fashion.

Lady Gaga disappointed me?

I really hope Glenn wins - it’ll be very awkward in that dress if she doesn’t 😂

February 24, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterMorgan

Meryl wore gold back in 2012 and ended up winning. Glenn is wearing gold tonight. Let’s hope gold also ends up being her lucky color. :)

February 24, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterLesley L

Great idea to have these three ladies open the show.

February 24, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterMDA

I am ELATED for Regina King!

February 24, 2019 | Unregistered Commenterthefilmjunkie

I was wrong RE: King but I still believe it was close. Now missing BAFTA and SAG becomes less of a stigma. Congratulations Regina!

February 24, 2019 | Unregistered Commenterevangelina

I said when King won her third Emmy last fall that she essentially had sealed her Oscar win then. A lot of y'all didn't believe me. #ijs

February 24, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterTroy H.

Those Oscar statues made of flowers just remind me of 'Annihilation'.

February 24, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterRebecca

“Oscars in this category have been awarded since 1981.” Was that shade...?

February 24, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterLesley L

Now, I could have done with that makeup and hairstyling win being presented in the commercial break. That was a hot mess.

February 24, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterAaron

YES RUTH

February 24, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterBrad

Yay Regina! Boo ugly red ribbon sets.

February 24, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterSawyer

The lack of host is ... notable. Have a feeling ratings are gonna be low.

February 24, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterGeorge

Can Black Panther win best picture? Its winning a lot

February 24, 2019 | Unregistered Commenterjota

No but it could win all its tech noms. That would be something.

February 24, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterSawyer

#oscarsoblack

and loving it <3

February 24, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterMarcelo

Queen, Tom Morello, J. Lo....I thought Oscars was supposed to be about movies....sigh.
Someone should give nominees tips on their acceptance speeches....these are horrible. P.S. Black Panther is a mediocre movie at best.

February 24, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterGil C.

I don’t wanna sound heartless, but do these winners understand that they only get 90 seconds for a speech? So, if you are part of a duo that gets to be on the stage, wouldn’t you have the sense to keep it somewhat short so that your partner/collaborator could say at least SOMETHING, too? Instead of just hogging the entire time up there to make it about yourself. Just sayin’

February 24, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterLesley L

Cuaron has oscar in three different categories. And probably 4 until the end of the day. Will that be a record?

February 24, 2019 | Unregistered Commenterjota

I agree with Sawyer, this is the ugliest Oscar set in memory!

February 24, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterDAVID

Some of these speeches are really validating the Academy's previous decision to do them during the commercials. Most are dragging on and on and on.

February 24, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterJ

Where's Simon Cowell when you need him? Jennifer Hudson...that was the longest pitchy flat note I've ever heard.
Why is Serena Williams on stage? Are these the black awards?

February 24, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterGil C.

Who presented best supporting actress? Was it sam rockwell? I lost it

February 24, 2019 | Unregistered Commenterjota

Yes Lesley, I was puzzled. Her partner was standing there, and he was cut off at the end with just 10 seconds of speech. Now I don’t know if they have an arrangement before the award, but that was a bit obnoxious.

February 24, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterLars

Gil C.: sometimes, they invite remarkable people of other expertise to present, like Michelle Obama

February 24, 2019 | Unregistered Commenterjota

Ugh. Bohemian Rhapsody

February 24, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterLesley L

Gil C- your racism is showing!

February 24, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterNikki

Just more proof that they should combine the two sound categories since Academy voters don't know what it is they are voting for.

February 24, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterMDA

The lady from Bohemian Rhapsody looks like Olivia Colman LOL

February 24, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterMarcelo

The sound lady*

February 24, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterMarcelo

I hope Bohemian Rhapsody wins stops there!

February 24, 2019 | Unregistered Commenterjota

This show is so boring! OMG!

February 24, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterSwiss Watcher

I wish Freddy Mercury rises from the grave to give the finger to the academy and the surviving queen members

February 24, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterGareth

@Gil C there have been more White people on that stage than any other race, where is the outrage?

February 24, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterMichaela

See, now THESE three know how to properly divide up their allotted 90 seconds of time so that each person gets a chance to speak and to make a speech. Well done fellas!

February 24, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterLesley L

Lesley L: but these three didn't know to do a proper movie

February 24, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterGareth

This is a snoozefest.

February 24, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterGeorge

Could The Favourite go 0 for 10??? *gasp*

February 24, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterDAVID

Nikki...that's some lazy thinking. Black Panther is not an award worthy movie...and why does every other person on stage need to be black? They make up 13% of population...that was my point. Aren't they discriminating against whites? And Serena Williams has nothing to do with movies.

February 24, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterGil C.

EVERYONE: Let's just ignore Gil C. Maybe he will go away

February 24, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterGareth

God Bette Midler looks good.

February 24, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterSawyer

Lulz...I should go away why? Because you have no counterpoint? Oh look, Keegan Michael Key dropping from ceiling for no reason besides being black... I'm a liberal and movie lover...I just don't like an agenda taking over my favorite awards show.

February 24, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterGil C.

I hope Allison Janney presents best supporting actor

February 24, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterMarcelo

Oh my god, and what about all these mexican commercials???!

February 24, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterGil C.

I didn’t realize I missed seeing Queen Latifah on screen?? Now I want to see her in Emma’s role in The Favourite!

February 24, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterBushwick

Anybody else wishing for the awkward looks they'd pan to if anybody thanked Bryan Singer?

February 24, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterMarsha Mason

What is an
Award Worthy film? Bohemian Rhapsody? Showing Black people is ruining your show. I guess they should apologize for existing. You are disgusting!
