A Cher biopic is coming!!!!

"Cher has announced that a new feature film chronicling her life and career is in the works. She broke the news in a tweet earlier this evening (May 19), which happens to be the night before her 75th birthday. The as-yet-untitled film will arrive via Universal Pictures. Cher will co-produce alongside Judy Craymer and Gary Goetzman—the production duo who helmed the film adaptation of Mamma Mia! (which of course, starred Cher)."

Also, in my dream world next year's Best Actress Oscar would have the Cher and Madonna biopics dueling head to head. :-)

She should have never won. She lost all interest in her film career afterwards.

The Cher biopic will arrive in two years. The Madonna biopic is never gonna happen in its current incarnation.

What a deserving Oscar win.

Love her and her Oscar win.

I agree with @Michael R. I think Tina Turner, Elton John and Cher have the right idea by just producing their films. Madonna writing and directing hers is a little bonkers. I remain skeptical, but hope for the best. Happy Birthday Cher!

The fact that a whole jury decided that she was as good as Norma Aleandro in The Official Story.

Happy Birthday to Cher !! She is one of those icons that I think we are honestly better off for having around. She is always herself, first, last, and always...no matter what wig or outfit she wears.

Cher... a fucking legend. She's been in some amazing movies and has a catalog of music that is unmatched by anyone. Plus, how many singers do you know can do a song by ABBA and not move you to tears? Her rendition of "Fernando" stunned me to tears. That's how fucking good she is.

Her Oscar win is so deserved. And her speech was sublime.

Such an odd Oscar win but she was the 'it' girl that year. I liked that she thanked Mary Louise Streep in her acceptance speech. Happy Birthday, Cher!
