That's a wrap on the 2021/2022 film awards season!
Another film year has wrapped up here at The Film Experience. Though we go by the calendar year for all awards purposes, when it comes to the film year, we think of it as as running from the day after the Oscars through to the next Oscar night. So Happy 2022 to all of you. We're about to start all over again.

WHAT'S NEXT?
If you've ever considered subscribing (see right hand sidebar --> ) now would be a perfect time. The site operates on the barest of shoestrings and it's been really tough for a few years now. We'd like to keep going until our 25th anniversary but we need help.
COMING THIS SUMMER IF YOU'LL BE HERE TO SUPPORT US
✅ Supporting Actress Smackdown Season (and companion 'year of the month' festivities for 1951, 1997, 2004) - dates TBA
✅ Emmy Coverage - we're hoping to do more than we've ever done (the budget thing again -- gotta sell more advertisements!) so let us know what series you'd to see more on right here. Which are 'most cinematic' to you?
✅ CINEMA: Cannes Film Festival, Elvis, The Northman, Fiddler's Journey to the Big Screen, BROS, Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, and Mrs Harris Goes to Paris among others.
✅ "Hit Me With Your Best Shot" weekly film club -- join in!
✅ Centennial Parties: Doris Day (early April), Judy Garland (early June), and Eleanor Parker (late June)
✅ And much randomness. You know how we do 'off season'

Thank you as always
Thanks Nathaniel and the whole TFE team for another great coverage of the awards season! And for taking a break in between seasons ! I had to mute so many suggested Tweets with folks already making predictions for next year's Oscars.
Regarding Emmy stuff, I would love to see you talk about Pachinko! All of its episodes will have aired by the end of April, and it's seen to be getting a lot of great reviews regarding its storytelling, its acting and its cinematic feel. Barry Jenkins himself is a fan.
I'm usually a little depressed at the end of the season, but this year I don't even have the energy to login in.
I am looking forward to more tv coverage. This spring has been great for tv. I agree with the recommendation regarding Pachinko and would also like to see some coverage of Anne Hathaway's work in WeCrashed. I know you covered the series, but her performance deserves to be spotlighted. That category will be so competitive at the Emmys this year, but it will be a shame if she gets left out.
Can't wait for the new smackdown seasons, especially 1997. Somehow I'm not feeling that year so hopefully your articles can shed a better light on that year.
Not excited for Emmy stuff though, sorry!
April's fools predictions coming soon? :)
Elazul -- april foolish predictions coming later this month yes. It takes me awhile to sift through all the information from each studio and various filmmakers.
Christopher, Nathaniel et al: Thanks for a great year and Happy New Year! I can always turn to TFE for the latest, especially for what's on streaming. The Oscar party looked like so much fun.
Gosh, I love this site. But gosh, I feel like you all are too smart and cultured for the dumbed-down Oscar bullshitter-y.
