John Hawkes "Marcy's Song"

What is it about singing actors?
I can never get enough.

I can't imagine (no wait, I can) how batshit-crazy you would have been for David Carradine and "I'm Easy" if you'd been old enough at the time, Nat. Have you done a best (or favorite) singing actors list? Or songs by actors? (Although that might include Juliette Lewis and she definitely keeps her two worlds separate.) "I'm Easy" would definitely fall on my top ten; I was too young to see Nashville in the day but heard the song on the radio as a young'un and it still sticks in my head to this day.

I can imagine Mr Hawkes sitting down and jamming with Tom Waits, and maybe John Hiatt and even Leon Redbone. (What a jam session THAT would be.)

Have you been to the Stonewall Sensations contest at Stonewall? There are lots of good singing actors there. You should check it out. I think I actually saw you downstairs there the other day
