Cinesnark has a good review of the most recent episode of Agent Carter which has proven itself as a fast, kicky, well acted and really fine TV show. I kinda love it. Agents of SHIELD has improved over its run but Carter's short run has only emphasized how weak it still is; I'm sad it's coming back because that mean Carter is over!

Out revealed their 100 Most Eligible Bachelors list and it's wonderful to swipe through it realizing how many out actors we have now (I knew that once we had a few brave ones people would calm down about it and the floodgates would open) though the list is hardly actors-only. Thankfully the list has plentiful ethnic, age, and national diversity.
But the list is not without controversy because not all of the men are "Out" as it were like Ronan Farrow for example or the actor Jussie Smollett (who plays the gay son on Empire and is the brother of Jurnee Smollett from Friday Night Lights & True Blood). There might be other examples. I hadn't heard that the model Jon Kortajarena was gay either but maybe I just missed that somewhere. Most hilarious is their inclusion of famously NOT out Hobbit actors Luke Evans (Dracula Untold) who has a long history of being back in the closet which My New Plaid Pants lampoons constantly and Lee Pace who has a long history of not being out and recently denying the everyone-assumes Elf-Dwarf love affair with co-star Richard Armitage.

David Karger wouldn't be surprised by a Damien Chazelle win in Director? I imagine PriceWaterhouseCoopers would be, considering he's not nominated.
My surprise-but-not-a-surprise would be Finding Vivian Maier.
As for the Out100, I kinda hate that list. There are an awful lot of over-pruned glitzy pseudo-celebs on it. It reminds me that a) there are a lot of gay actors, but they're mostly D-list, and b) there are a lot of gay men out there trying desperately to live the high life. It left me feeling a bit icky, frankly.
Can Andrew Scott become more famous than Benedict Cumberbatch? Just, world, make that happen please.
Loved the Out's list. John Kortajarena is Luke Evan's boyfriend, so, he basically was out before this list.
Nika -- That's right! Kortajarena never came out officially tough. He used to date Alfonso Bassave who's also very dreamy.
Nika -- but being "out" is different than being someone's boyfriend. Considering that Luke Evans denies he's gay how can we consider either of htem to be "out"
I'm sure I've read interviews of Luke Evans describing himself as a gay man (even reflected in his wikipedia page). Although I'm not sure what he's said about the topic recently.
Carlos -- Luke Evans WAS out, yes. But then he went back in the closet some years ago and denied relationships and was paired with women. etcetera .MNPP has been following the mess for years.
I hadn't heard about Jussie, but he is great on Empire.
I'm not a fan of pushing people publicly -- like when they put Anderson on the cover and he was in war zones, and places that aren't so friendly to gays.
I feel as if I'm in a safe space here at TFE so you guys will believe me even though I can't get into specifics because of HOW I know this, but I know for a fact that it's one hundred percent true that Lee Pace and Richard Armitage are a couple and live together. Don't ask me how! I could get in trouble, or get people I know involved in the situation in trouble. But they are, 100%, and they drive me CRAZY with their silence.
The Luke Evans junk though GAH don't even get me started.
I love Hayley Atwell as Agent Peggy Carter. She's smart, fast, tough, and beautiful. What heaven.
