Nice collection. That Ann Miller WAS a Texas firecracker but for some reason the Debbie Reynolds one with the sort of spinning halo tickles me.

For a second, I thought Rita Hayworth was Ann Sheridan. Were they the Chastain-Howard ginger lookalikes of their day?
For me, the banner says it all. Such a gorgeous shot of Ennis/Ledger turned away - perfectly captured by Lee and Prieto, I think he would be celebrating this particular 4th a little differently (less public brawl, more public make-out?).

Re: Channing's arm tattoo, the backwards flag is an Army patch worn facing that direction to give the effect of the flag "flying in the air as the soldier marches forward."
