Back to 'Broad City'

Let’s take a short break from film news and reviews and check in with TV. After a long wait the funniest show on TV is coming back. Which one is that you might ask? Why Broad City of course. Ilana (Ilana Glazer) and Abbi (Abbi Jacobson) are back after being away for than a year. And how our world have changed since they’ve been gone. However they seem to have remained as funny as ever. This time they will find themselves entangled with RuPaul, Jane Curtain, Steve Buscemi and Wanda Sykes. They will leave their beloved New York to gun-loving Florida. And Abbi’s nemesis Bevers is somewhat unrecognizable! We are beyond delighted at the prospect of a few hours on our couch with these hilarious women. You will be too after checking the trailer.
Broad City returns on August 23rd. In the meantime tell us what is your favorite moment from the previous three seasons.

I mean, the strap-on episode is pretty great, mostly because it's funny AND they don't shame the straight dude for wanting what he wants.
But season 3 was their best so far so I'm really excited for season 4.
Love the Amy Ryan episode - the slow mo entrance to see her designer clothes is hilarious. Obviously Patty Clarkson was amazing. The Kelly Ripa episode was great. When Abbi's phone was lost was hilarious & Hillary's appearance (and Cynthia Nixon's) was fantastic! Love love love this show!
The strap-on episode, the ones with Susie Essman & Patty Clarkson... this show is hilarious.
*mouthing* YAAS QUEEN *breaks into sobs*
But really, I love Abbi's drunken alter ego, Val, the most.
Season 2 was the best. Season 3's dramatic episode (the one where Abbi and Illana broke up with their partners) kinda ruined last season for me.
I admit, I got a bit tired of Ilana's obnoxiousness as a character (and Glazer's performance of her). The constant pot jokes and the "YAAASSSS QUEEN" and just all of the stuff she does that would make her insufferable to be around. I find it odd that people come for Lena Dunham's character on Girls despite Hannah Horvath having much more realistic frail humanity behind it. I think Abbi actually appeared to be growing, which is as it should be for a third season of a show and though Jacobson was doing some really great work. Ilana is just a caricature.
