Vanity Fair Veep, Atlanta, Master of None, and Better Call Saul all might be ineligible at the Emmys next year due to release dates. Wow, that could really shake things up... at least in Comedy categories. Drama will obviously go back to normal with Game of Thrones returning (sigh).
on and people still really don't get humor / sarcasm...
Boy Culture Jackie Hoffman's "damnit" when Laura Dern won was just her being her raucous comic self.
Another example...
Mark Harris was immediately "corrected" on a funny tweet because there is no sarcasm font on twitter.
P.S. Did you have a good time last night at your Emmy parties?

On that Powerpuff Girls news: Shame it didn't happen on a good show! If the recent Powerpuff Girls revival was good, that'd be great. Since it's not (in fact, it's really, really not), all this is, is AMMO. Ghostbusters 2016 x 1000 style ammo. The regressives DO NOT NEED AMMO.
Mr. Bailey's first task as AMPAS president should be to make the Michelle Pfeiffer article mandatory reading for all Oscar voters.
Powerpuff Girls 2016 list of "what were you thinking":
Bye Bye Bellum (Sara Bellum's departure episode, that also has a fashion nut villain)
Horn Sweet Horn (An episode of Bubbles being a pushy jerk recontextualized by producer comments as a commentary on "Trans" that the creators didn't intend)
Saved Multiple Times by THE MAYOR (Y'know, the show's idiot character?)
The Allegro Episodes (Bleeping Twerking Six Year Olds! And, yeah, I said EPISODES. That happened TWICE.)
Shapiro, one of the team putting in a Self Insert who has a crush on Blossom. Creepy.
Yeah, a show with that much baggage trying to be "progressive"? That ship has sailed.
I think that the Jackie Hoffman's reaction and comments are unnecessary even if she's joking. I say she really need to write "Laura Dern had famous parents. Forgive me for being from real people #elitism # Emmys2017"
Sounds like she trying to get attention.
I would have voted for Judy Davis.
That title is not 100% correct. I went to twitter and I did not start counting but I think the positive reactions are many. Anyway this was the only one of the monologue that made me laugh. I also like the song at the beginning but the monologue of Colbert bored me (except the appearance of Spicer)
Note: I am referring to the title Pajiba the internet was not thrilled with Sean Spicer's Emmy cameo. Another hair-tussling moment to normalize the evil of the T**** administration.
Die-hard fans of Game of Thrones were a bit disappointed with the newest season so it may not sweep next year.
Weren't you all pleasantly surprised when Donald Glover won the two statues? I wasn't expecting that to happen. I thought they would find the show too edgy and different.
Angelina shouldn't be part of the foreign film conversation. It feels like cheating. She will have 200 times more press than the others.
Apparently Dr. T and the Women got an F cinemascore. I guess average moviegoers find middle-grade Altman incredibly alienating.
For the record, Mahershala Ali was calling dropping the same tiresome and troublesome universalist message on the "Moonlight" circuit last year.
everyone knows universal just means that straight, white audiences are able to summon a modicum of empathy watching the movie
Looks like Alicia Vikander's face was photoshopped onto a stunt double.
Years ago (was it in the Celluloid Closet?) I remember seeing Harvey Fierstein's reaction to people calling Torch Song Trilogy "universal". I'm paraphrasing, but he said something along the lines of "No, this movie isn't universal. It is about gay people. If you straight people can make the leap and feel connected to it, great. But for once we are not the ones having to making that leap."
Also, I totally love Jackie Hoffman. I would love her to have won, if only to see how hilarious her acceptance speech would have been.
Game of Thrones deserve to win every Emmy it can get. No sighing needed.
The universal story is so tiring. My absolute pet hate is when people say "it is not a gay/black/female/disabled story, it's a HUMAN story." Like for fucks sake, are we actually unable to love, appreciate and admire something without it being about us?!
Shower valves have one to three outlets. The outlets we are talking about here would be where the water is directed when rotated. Single outlet shower valves control water pressure through its 180degree knob of cold to hot degrees. Double outlets separate entirely hot and cold knobs.
