No mention of Amanda Plummer or Ving Rhames? Everyone talks about Jackson's line readings but Rhames was effortless in his low and drawn out Motherfucka when he sees Butch at the crosswalk. Plummer's performance has more emotional resonance than Thurman's.

/3rtful -- i would have much disagree with that statement BUT Plummer is smashingly good and memorably weird in her short screen time. I always thought she was undervalued. Should've been nominated for THE FISHER KING (1991).

/3rtful: Rhames is perhaps my favourite in Pulp Fiction. Beautiful performance through and through. "Nah, man. I'm pretty fucking far from OK."

If we think Supporting Actress was tough in 1994, Supporting Actor was even tougher. I'd have put Jackson in lead and gone with these: Broadbent, Landau, Palminteri, Rhames, Willis.

Ruehl ruled The Fisher King. And they didn't like the movie enough to recognize Bridges.

I’m still dying at Nick saying he’d write Viv! the musical and the name of the first song would be “Heavy Flow.” Genius.

I'll thank you in the liner notes, Ray.

/3rtful - i'm well aware of WHY. I just think she should have been. Should haves are often victims of the whys.

Ray -- agreed. continually astounded by how fast Nick is with the quips. I did not warn him i was going to ask a question about adapting these into musicals. *crying laughing*
