Why were critics so uncritical of Toy Story 4's retreading?
Yes, people are still giving out prizes. We don’t say this facetiously since we haven’t even given out ours yet (still cramming in screenings!) but both the Team Experience Awards (voted on by our whole team sans me -- they don’t let me vote!) and the Film Bitch Awards (yours truly's own long-running prizes) are coming in the next week or two. But until the guild awards start en masse this week (whilst Academy members vote on the Oscar nominations) here are the five latest industry or critics groups to announce. We only wish that there was more variety since Parasite, Bong Joon Ho, Adam Driver, Brad Pitt, Apollo 11, and Toy Story 4 continual to dominate their categories with stampede like force. The only category where the groups disagreed en masse (this week at least) was Best Actress; Ronan, Nyong'o, Zellweger, and Johansson all picked up another prize. And Best Supporting Actress was dominated by Florence Pugh in this week's roundup which is a bit different than earlier in the critics awards season where it was always Dern vs Lopez.

AACTA
(Australian Academy of Cinema and Television)
AACTA has two separate award lineups -- confusing we know! The first, which we already covered, is exclusively for celebrating Australian film. That’s what they should be doing with their time being an Australian Academy of film and given that any industry outside of Hollywood needs the celebrating! The second, their international prizes, is, as far as we can tell, just them being into Oscar predicting and publicity since it’s only the headline categories and similar to all the other American-focused critics lists out there.

Were Columbus and North Carolina that identical or was there a copy and paste error?
National Society of Film Critics is still part of the critical triple crown, with LA and NY. At least in my book. They're handing out this afternoon.
It wasn't until the last award that I understood that it's Columbus, NC.

Me & Arkaan -- sorry there was a cut and paste error. However there awards are very vry similar (which exacerbating my mistake and made me sloppy). They have the same winners for
Best Picture, Best Director, Best Animated Film, Best Documentary, Best Foreign Film, Best Lead Actress, Best Lead Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Original Screenplay, Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best Cinematography.
So you can see where I failed to proofread closely. but it's been fixed. Of their awards they both give out they only differed on one category: Supporting Actor!

The only AACTA International winner who ever missed an Oscar nod was Nicole Kidman for Boy Erased. This bodes well for Ronan.
No offense, but you should improve the usage of there vs their vs they're. The amount of times I see this mistake here is concerning, for a writer/blogger.
I'm biased, of course, but I can't stand when orgs award Best Picture and Foreign Film to the same damn film. Try harder!
