No Time To Die... until Thanksgiving

In relatively unexpected Coronavirus news, the new James Bond film, No Time to Die, which was a month away from its release, is opting to move to Thanksgiving. Globetrotting is a big part of Bond's appeal and apparently one of its plotpoints involves a biological virus so... yeah.
Are you disappointed or can you wait? No Time To Die had been the earliest blockbuster aiming for the first major slice of the summer box office pie piece of the summer box office (April 10th) but now that pressure will fall to Black Widow.

Not really surprised, but I am mildly disappointed as I was looking forward to it. On the other hand the new release date is very similar to previous films in the franchise. Every single 007 film with Daniel Craig has opened in the fall.
You have to go all the way back to License to Kill for a summer release date. All the Bond films from Golden Eye to Spectre were released October-December
I was all excited for the April release and now there's a wait...but yes, public health is more important. I'll be equally excited, if not more so, to see it in November.
I was eager to see Malek give us a good Daniel Craig Bond Villian which this period has been too short of.
I am disappointed. Always good to spread movies around and not just in October-December. But yes, of course public health is way more important (though I'm sure it's less that and more thinking about their profits more than anything).
That said, MULAN would be the next blockbuster, no? I hope that film can achieve those big box office numbers.

Very disappointed as the movie calendar for the next few months looks bleak. I was curious to see what Fukunaga was going to do with a summer blockbuster-type movie.
Oh well.
A bit disappointed but I understand why. The whole world wants to see the film but a lot of them are going to miss it because of this fucking plague. I wouldn't mind waiting in November. At least it will give me more time to re-watch some James Bond films and I might take my mom to go see it when it's out as a tribute to my dad as he LOVED the Bond movies. My mom's favorite Bond is Roger Moore. Dad's favorite is Sean Connery though he also liked Daniel Craig.
thevoid99: That would be a nice gesture. My dad loved Bond too and got me into them, and he very recently passed away, and so I will be seeing this one in tribute to him.
Not that invested in the franchise, and none of the publicity so far had excited me in any way. So yeah, I can happily wait.
Something bigger I have observed in Australian cinemas in the last month, as a result of coronavirus, is the lack on Chinese movies getting a release. Back as far as January (for THE RESCUE, which looked and sounded particularly interesting) the regular cinema releases completely dried up here.
I really wanted to die while watching it.

NTTD is the 25th Bond film in the series and will be Daniel Craig’s last. I think it’s a smart move. Even if the movie is received as a weaker entry, that Thanksgiving spot could spell lasting box office and potential awards consideration.

I couldn’t care less about James Bond. Some of the early Connery ones are mildly fun but in general this franchise is a bunch of heterosexual nonsense.

I am disappointed, but understand also. As I still haven't seen "Spectre", I now have more time. It's rentable though XBOX.

In "Knives Out" he sounded like Kevin Spacey (a superior actor) channeling a Southern accent. I'm not watching that new Bond film, whenever it's released.(thevoid99 - don't swear).
