New Oscar Predictions: Screenplays and International Submissions

OKAY. Finally we have succumbed to the enthusiasm that there just might be a winter movie season after all. Maybe? Perhaps? Might? So it's time to update all those Oscar charts. We'll work our way quickly up to the the acting categories, don't worry, since all the charts are in heavy progress behind the scenes. The following charts are now up

What do you think will score in the screenplay categories?

Thanks for getting these going; I've looked forward to it. You are a beacon of light in these volatile, isolated and dark days. I appreciate your efforts and the podcast. So, West Side Story is no longer in the picture for 2020? Hope it comes out in the summer! Thank you again.

Can't thank you enough for these updates. It might be a weird film year, but this helps tremendously in thinking about some good things that might come our way.

I think that we will see a few films dominate in all categories. I would put Dune in adapted since I think it will be big. What about Tenet?

Love seeing these updates!

Worth mentioning, though, that SHIRLEY (screenplay by Sarah Gubbins) is actually based on a novel by Susan Scarf Merrell :)

Speaking of International news, today Quino the creator of the comic strip Mafalda and personal idol comedy genius passed away.

If the punditry gets your mind primed for the Monty series and the final chapters of Seasons of Bette than excellent. I might read these at some point if I run out of other material so thanks :)

I missed this, your predictions are the only ones I truly read, I check other sites but I don't read the text just the predictions, for some reason I find them cold, and I think some famous pundits are trending topics preachers. You care and it shows, it's easy to see there's critical thinking and consideration in every prediction + trivia! ♥

I love the predictions are back. Thank you :)

Chile has submitted El Agente Topo, a documentary which got raves in Sundance and recently won something in San Sebastian.

Really enjoy the foreign stats every year.

Btw Parasite is also now tied with Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon and Fanny and Alexander for most wins.

Lucky -- do you have a link to that news. I can't find backup anywhere.
